One of my favourite parts of this room is the fireplace. Above it hangs a picture that my clever Mummy painted. She also made the cat picture. The family of grumpy cats are like Russian Dolls, they were a special moving in gift. The miniature items are pencil sharpeners, they were in my stocking at Christmas. They came from a whole collection of sharpeners belonging to a lady who donated them to a charity shop. Mine are a little hurricane lantern and typewriter.
I love their little hand painted faces.
As well as all things feline I also have an obsession with birds. These two are lovely. The glass one on the left is 1960's. Mama bartered for her when she visited at Macknades in Faversham. Think she has been watching one too many daytime antique shows. My favourite line is when she refused to pay £13 because it was unlucky! Well done Mama.
On one wall I have an 'aviary'. These are all the bird pictures I have been gifted/ collected.
This is the alcove with my decorated chest of drawers. I stripped the drawers then masking taped the tree shape before painting it. The mirror was found in the house. This area also houses my postcards. I love postcards as they are such a great way of sharing images. They keep falling down though maybe some better blutack is needed. Spot the ugly plug half way up the wall. When we moved in they were all like this. Most have been moved, but this one has slipped the net. We really must move it down as it ruins the fireplace.Hope you like x

This is my favourite room too! i love the two massive windows facing the see and the sunshine pouring in!
